Bab El Ain ("the gate of the spring") is one of the historic gates of Chefchaouen's medina, named after the nearby Ras El Ma spring. It is one of the busiest entry points into the blue-washed alleyways, and one of the most photographed spots in the city — its walls, painted in the same indigo tones as the rest of the medina, make it a must-pass for anyone exploring the neighborhood.
