An imposing defensive tower built by the Portuguese in the 15th century, Borj Al Kamra overlooks the medina of Asilah and forms part of the fortified system that once protected the city from seaborne attacks. It remains one of the most recognizable landmarks of the town, alongside the ramparts that surround it.
