About this site

This Christian cemetery overlooking the ocean owes part of its fame to French writer Jean Genet, who had a special relationship with Morocco and chose to be buried here after his death in 1986. His grave, facing the sea, still draws visitors today interested in 20th-century literary and cultural history.
