Kasbah de Tanger et Musée de la Kasbah

Perched on a hill overlooking the harbor and the medina, the Kasbah of Tangier offers a spectacular view over the Strait of Gibraltar. It houses the Kasbah Museum, set in the former Dar el Makhzen palace — a sultans' residence that also served as a prison and court —, whose collections of archaeological and historical objects trace Tangier's importance through the centuries.
