Opened in 2014, the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art is Morocco's largest museum, hosting internationally significant temporary exhibitions and a permanent collection devoted to 20th and 21st-century Moroccan art. Its bright, open contemporary architecture deliberately contrasts with the capital's historic heritage to assert the cultural dynamism of Morocco today.
