On Rue du Docteur Veyre, in the heart of the Casablanca Art Deco district, the Hôtel & Spa Le Doge presents itself on its official website as a private townhouse hotel of 16 rooms and suites, with two restaurants, a rooftop and a small spa with a hammam. This article sums up what the hotel states, describes what its gallery photos show and helps you plan a stay without overpromising.

An Art Deco townhouse

According to the official website, the hotel occupies a 1930s residence, which remained a family townhouse until 2009 and was then opened to the public. It presents itself as the one and only Relais & Châteaux townhouse hotel in Casablanca: we have not cross-checked this claim. Each of its 16 rooms and suites is inspired by an Art Deco artist, from Coco Chanel to Ernest Hemingway, with fabric-covered walls and vintage furniture. The website presents the Standard room (up to 2 people, 30 m²), the executive double room, the Junior Suite and two suites of 55 m² with a private terrace. Wi-Fi, a coffee machine and air conditioning are stated.

Restaurants and rooftop

The hotel has two restaurants. Le Jasmine offers Moroccan cuisine prepared by a Moroccan chef, with only 7 tables, from 7 pm to 11 pm from Monday to Saturday. Le Doge Café is a Mediterranean rooftop with a view of the Art Deco district and the Arab League park, with cuisine inspired by Catalonia, open from 7 am to midnight. The hotel recommends booking in advance, as capacity is limited.

Spa and hammam

The hotel's small spa is an intimate space, with a traditional oriental hammam, a steam bath, a ritual with natural products and massages. It is open from Monday to Saturday from noon to 8 pm, with possible adaptation outside these hours, and the hotel advises booking in advance. The treatment menu is not reproduced here: ask the hotel for it.
