Address and Access
Address: Medina, Marrakech (Bab Doukkala district, not far from Arset el Houta)
Dar El Bacha is in the northwest medina, away from the usual tourist circuits — which gives it a calmer atmosphere than the palaces of the Kasbah.
Transport options:
- On foot from Jemaa el-Fna: 15–20 min (heading northwest)
- On foot from the Ben Youssef Madrasa: 10 min
- Taxi from Guéliz: 15–20 MAD, 10 min
Opening Hours
Every day except Monday: 9:00 am – 7:00 pm
Check the hours in the low season — they may vary.
Prices and Visit
Official admission price 2026: around €10 per adult, free for children under 12, reduced rate for Moroccan residents — payable on-site, as Dar El Bacha is not sold through MoroccoMuseum's online ticketing.
Combined guided tour: Ben Youssef Madrasa + Dar El Bacha + medina, with our partner GetYourGuide.
Good to Know
The Dar El Bacha café (independent entrance) is one of the best addresses for Moroccan coffee in the medina — beautiful courtyard, quality Moroccan coffee roasted on-site.
