Where are the Saadian Tombs located?
The Saadian Tombs are located in the historic Kasbah district, south of the Marrakech medina.
They are a few minutes' walk from several must-see sites:

- Bab Agnaou: about 4 minutes
- Bahia Palace: about 10 minutes
- Jemaa el-Fna square: 15 minutes

How to get to the Saadian Tombs?
On foot
From Jemaa el-Fna square, head to the Kasbah district by following Rue de la Kasbah. Allow about 15 minutes on foot.
By taxi
Small taxis can drop you near the entrance to the Saadian Tombs. From Guéliz or Hivernage, the ride usually takes 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic.
By car
Public parking lots are available around Bab Agnaou and Place des Ferblantiers. A few minutes' walk is then enough to reach the monument.
Opening hours
The official ticket office of the Ministry of Culture gives visiting hours of 9am to 5pm. This is a general statement for all the monuments on its online ticket office: the ministry does not specify any closing day, any particular hours or any last entry for the Saadian Tombs. Check before your visit, especially during Ramadan, national and religious holidays and official events.
Restoration work
Restoration work is under way in several monuments in Marrakech: some parts of the Saadian Tombs may be temporarily closed to the public or rearranged. The official ticket office does not list the accessible areas: check before your visit.
Entry prices
Prices of the official ticket office of the Ministry of Culture:
- foreign adult: 100 DH (about €10);
- foreign child aged 7 to 13: 50 DH;
- Moroccan or resident adult: 30 DH;
- Moroccan or resident child aged 7 to 13: 10 DH;
- free entry for Moroccans every Friday and on the first day of national and religious holidays.

Several monuments: the skip-the-line pass

- Some historical rooms have steps and narrow passages.

How much time should you allow?
The average visit lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour.
If you take time to observe the architectural details and read the information panels, allow up to 1 hour 15 minutes.
Best time to visit
To fully enjoy the site, we recommend:

- or late afternoon for more pleasant lighting.
