About this site

Walled up after the fall of the Saadian dynasty and rediscovered in 1917, these royal mausoleums house the tombs of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur and his family. The Hall of the Twelve Columns, with its painted wooden dome, Carrara marble columns and gilded muqarnas, is a supreme masterpiece of Moroccan art.
