A palace and its gardens reborn in the medina

About this site

Behind its tall medina walls, Le Jardin Secret reveals a 19th-century palace fully restored using traditional building techniques, along with two gardens laid out according to Islamic garden principles: an exotic garden planted with species from around the world, and an Islamic garden structured around a restored ancestral irrigation system. An observation tower offers a 360° view over the medina rooftops, the Koutoubia and the Atlas Mountains. Blending botany, architecture and the history of water in Marrakech, this carefully restored site invites a peaceful pause away from the bustle of the souks.
