MACAAL — Musée d'Art Contemporain Africain Al Maaden

Backed by the Alliances Foundation, the Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden (MACAAL) presents contemporary art collections from the African continent and its diaspora through regularly renewed temporary exhibitions. The building, surrounded by an olive-planted sculpture garden, offers a bright setting ideal for discovering both emerging and established artists. The museum is free every Wednesday, an initiative that widens access to culture. Located in Al Maaden on the outskirts of Marrakech, MACAAL has become a reference point for African contemporary art within just a few years.
