Musée Berbère — Jardin Majorelle

The Pierre Bergé Museum of Berber Arts is housed in Jacques Majorelle's former painting studio, in the heart of Majorelle Garden. Inaugurated in 2011 under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI, it has borne the name of its founder, Pierre Bergé, since 2020. Over the years Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent built up a collection of Amazigh art.

More than 600 objects tell the story of the creativity of the oldest people in North Africa, from the Rif to the Sahara: silver jewellery, clothing and textiles, weapons, everyday objects, musical instruments, ceramics. The tour unfolds across four themed spaces; it opens with the history and geography of the Amazigh of Morocco, with a map of the main tribes and audiovisual documentation.

The museum is visited together with Majorelle Garden: there is no ticket for the museum alone, but a garden + museum ticket (230 DH on 17 October 2026). Allow 45 minutes to 1 hour. The museum closes for one week every year, in July, to renew the works on display: check the dates before planning a summer visit.
