Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech

Opened in 2017 right next to the Jardin Majorelle he loved so dearly, the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech traces the French couturier's career through nearly five thousand pieces: original sketches, fabrics, accessories and a rotating selection of haute couture garments. The contemporary building, designed by Studio KO with a brick façade evoking traditional weaving, also houses a library, an auditorium and a bookshop. Marrakech was a major source of inspiration for Yves Saint Laurent for over thirty years; this museum pays tribute to that deep bond between the designer and the city.
