Where Is the Almoravid Koubba Located?
The Almoravid Koubba is located in the heart of Marrakech's medina, on Ben Youssef square, just steps from several iconic monuments.

How to Get to the Almoravid Koubba
On Foot
From Jemaa el-Fna square, head to Ben Youssef square through the souks. Allow about 10 to 15 minutes on foot.
By Taxi
Petit taxis can drop you off near Ben Youssef square. A few minutes' walk is then enough to reach the monument.
By Car
Public parking is available on the outskirts of the medina. You'll then need to continue on foot to the Almoravid Koubba.
Opening hours
The official ticket office of the Ministry of Culture gives visiting hours of 9am to 5pm. This is a general statement for all the monuments on its online ticket office: the ministry does not specify any closing day, any particular hours or any last entry for the Almoravid Dome. Check before your visit, especially during Ramadan, national and religious holidays and official events.
Entry prices
Prices of the official ticket office of the Ministry of Culture:
- foreign adult: 100 DH (about €10);
- foreign child aged 7 to 13: 50 DH;
- Moroccan or resident adult: 30 DH;
- Moroccan or resident child aged 7 to 13: 10 DH;
- free entry for Moroccans every Friday and on the first day of national and religious holidays.

Several monuments: the skip-the-line pass

During the high tourist season (spring, autumn and school holidays), the wait can be long at peak times: arrive at opening time, or book your ticket in advance so you do not have to buy it at the ticket office.

The average visit lasts 30 to 45 minutes.
As the Almoravid Koubba is modest in size, it can easily be visited before or after the Ben Youssef Madrasa, the Marrakech Museum or Le Jardin Secret.
