Vallée du Paradis et Imouzzer Ida Outanane

Gorges, natural pools and a Berber village in the High Atlas, north of Agadir

About this site

Paradise Valley is a section of the Tamraght River valley in the High Atlas, about 60 km north-east of Agadir. It leads to Imouzzer Ida Outanane, a small town whose Berber name means “waterfall” according to guides. The gorges of the Asif Tamraght hold natural pools for a refreshing dip; the waterfalls of the Tinkert wadi flow only in winter. The region is known for its honey, and a weekly market is held in Imouzzer on Thursday mornings. Half-day excursions are offered from Agadir and Taghazout.
