Musée National de la Photographie de Rabat

Moroccan photography in a fort on the Rabat corniche

About this site

The museum occupies Fort Rottembourg, also called Fort Hervé or Borj El Kebir, a late 19th-century fortification on the Rabat corniche. After a period of neglect, the fort was rehabilitated and turned into a museum dedicated to photography in 2020. Its mission is to promote Morocco's young photography scene and democratise access to culture, especially in the neighbouring districts.
